Who Are We?
Established as the 13th vocational school of Ondokuz Mayıs University, HAVELSAN Cybersecurity Vocational School is an educational institution that aims to train qualified technicians in the field of cybersecurity. Our Vocational School will admit its first students in the 2026–2027 academic year.
What Are Our Educational Objectives and Academic Qualifications?
The rapid increase in the use of mobile devices and mobile applications has also brought new security threats targeting these systems. The Mobile Security Technologies Programme was established to train qualified technical personnel who possess the knowledge and practical skills required in mobile systems security and who can meet the needs of the industry.
Educational activities will be carried out through the academic expertise of Ondokuz Mayıs University and the sectoral contributions of HAVELSAN, taking current technological developments and industry needs into consideration.
What Knowledge and Skills Will Our Students Gain?
The programme aims to provide students with knowledge and skills in fundamental programming, mobile application and device security, network technologies, operating systems, cryptography, cybersecurity principles, and secure software development. Students will receive practical training in conducting basic security tests on Android and iOS platforms, as well as identifying and analysing security vulnerabilities. Theoretical courses will be supported by laboratory practices, industry collaborations, vocational training, and internship opportunities.
What Is Our Programme, and Where Can Graduates Work?
Our Vocational School offers a two-year associate degree programme in Mobile Security Technologies. Graduates will be able to work as technical personnel in public institutions and private-sector organisations operating in the fields of information technologies, software, telecommunications, defence, and cybersecurity. They are expected to find employment opportunities in areas such as mobile application security, network and system security, security testing, technical support, and cybersecurity operations.
Where Is Our School Located?
HAVELSAN Cybersecurity Vocational School will provide education at the Kurupelit Campus of Ondokuz Mayıs University, immediately next to the Faculty of Medicine.
